Overview
The 7-Day Lemosho Route is one of Kilimanjaro’s most scenic and rewarding trekking routes, offering breathtaking landscapes, excellent acclimatization, and a quieter start compared to many other routes. Beginning on the remote western side of the mountain, the trail traverses lush rainforest, expansive moorlands, alpine deserts, and dramatic volcanic landscapes before reaching the summit of Africa’s highest peak.
Although slightly shorter than the 8-day version, the route still provides a strong acclimatization profile and an impressive summit success rate of approximately 85% to 90%. The best climbing periods are from January to March and June to October, when climbers generally experience clearer skies and favorable trekking conditions.

- Spectacular scenery throughout the climb
