DAY 1

Arusha to Tarangire

A 7-Days Tanzania Safari is the perfect way to explore Tanzania’s top national parks and experience unforgettable wildlife encounters. This safari package is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of our guests, ensuring a remarkable journey through Tanzania’s most famous parks, including Tarangire, Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara, the iconic Ngorongoro Crater and the beauty of Materuni Waterfalls.

DAY 2-3

Serengeti National Park

Your safari continue with an early morning departure from Karatu, driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with scenic views and optional wildlife sightings along the way before entering Serengeti National Park for an afternoon game drive across the endless plains, where you may spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs, and other wildlife; in the evening, you will arrive at Tanapa Rest House for dinner and overnight stay. On the second day, enjoy a full-day game drive in different areas of Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch inside the park, giving you more opportunities to witness wildlife activity, predator action, and the beautiful Serengeti ecosystem before returning in the evening to Tanapa Rest House for dinner and another overnight stay.

DAY 4

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

Start your day with an early morning game drive, offering one last opportunity to witness wildlife activity in the golden morning light. Later in the morning, begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Highlands, with a stop at Naabi Hill Gate for a restroom break and scenic views. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route or a hot meal upon arrival at your lodge. You’ll reach your Ngorongoro accommodation in the late afternoon, where you can relax and take in the refreshing highland climate and stunning views over the crater rim.

DAY 5

Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater not only boasts breathtaking scenery but also serves as the home to over 25,000 wild creatures. You might even be lucky enough to spot the Big 5 here. Estimates suggest approximately 7,000 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 eland, 3,000 gazelles, 600 hyenas, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, 30 rhinos, and many other species inhabit this relatively small area. Therefore, I hope your camera is charged and ready to go. The crater itself is about 610 meters deep and covers 260 square kilometers, providing us with ample opportunities to catch sight of these favorite animals.

DAY 6

Lake Manyara National Park

Day six of the drive takes us to Lake Manyara, one of the smaller and underrated national parks in Tanzania. It is an unspoiled paradise of groundwater forest fed by underground springs and teeming with wildlife, such as elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and some of the largest baboon troops in Africa. The birdlife is spectacular year-round, home to more than a hundred species of birds, each with its own unique plumage. While sitting or standing in your vehicle, be sure to look above you as well as on the ground if you want to spot those lions; they are well-known for sleeping high in the trees at Lake Manyara. Departing at 3:00 p.m., you will enjoying trying to spot your favorite animals while heading back to Arusha for our Materuni waterfall tour the next day.

DAY 7

Materuni Waterfalls

On Day Seven our guide will pick you up from the Hotel in the morning and drive you to Materuni Village.
On the way, our guide will tell you about Chagga culture, village life, and the environment in which they live. Upon arrival, you will register at the village office. From the village, you can see the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.

After enjoying the scenery of the 80m high Materuni Waterfall, you will return to the Materuni village with the guide, for lunch, you will eat a traditional Chagga lunch. You will have the opportunity to taste local brewed banana beer. Next is a coffee tour, where you will learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted, and processed. Finally, the Chagga people will invite you to help them grid the coffee beans, an activity accompanied by Chagga songs and dances a fun way to learn a skill and about their culture, After, we will drive you back to your hotel. After Day seven you will enjoy a morning in the hotel before heading back to Moshi Airport.
