During the day, safari is shaped by distant horizons and sweeping landscapes. At night, your world becomes smaller and more mysterious.
A spotlight moves across the darkness, catching eyes in the grass, movement between trees or the silhouette of an animal crossing the track ahead.
Nocturnal species become more active, while familiar animals behave differently after sunset. Without knowing what waits beyond the next beam of light, every encounter carries an extra sense of discovery.

Night transforms the safari experience.
Instead of scanning distant plains, you begin paying attention to smaller signs: eyes reflecting in the spotlight, branches moving beside the road, distant calls and sudden sounds from beyond the darkness.
Depending on the area and a little safari luck, night drives may reveal nocturnal animals such as genets, civets, bushbabies and porcupines, alongside predators and other wildlife active after sunset.
Nothing is guaranteed, and that is precisely what gives a night safari its atmosphere. You never quite know what the darkness will reveal.
